July updates and meet 17!

Hey all!

Thanks for waiting for the monthly newsletter/email/thing. I went to a Wedding on Sunday, and then I spent the rest of yesterday working on dev edits for book 2 so I got a bit sidetracked. As an update, we’re still chugging along. It’s been a kick in the writer ego going through early book 2. I wrote about half of the book prior to heavy edits for book 1, so it’s essentially very behind in regard to my skill as a writer. It shows how important these in-depth dev edits are as it both improves my skill and brings the product on a whole up.

I believe we have the dates for everything penciled in, but until I get the green-light from the powers that be, those are staying between me, my publisher, and my coffee maker.

As a thanks for the delay, I’m attaching an image of a character, named 17, from book 2. You won’t get any context about them, but it’ll be a fun thing to look forward to. Although a warning, I’m not a professional artist by any stretch of the imagination. Drawing and digital painting has been a long time hobby that I have always loved and want to seriously get into more when I have the time. Another one of those dreams that I have is to someday make my own covers or to add illustration to my books. It’s a ways off, but I still think this one is fun.
