Hey everyone!
Time isn’t real and I can’t believe it’s already February. If anyone knows of any locations with time-dilation where I can get a few extra hours here and there, I’d greatly appreciate it.
But yeah, coming up to nearly 2 months since Body Horror released. I’m extremely grateful for everyone that’s picked it up and all the amazing ratings and reviews I’ve gotten. It was my first time writing a book 2 so I’m extremely happy it turned out as well as it has.
I’m currently working on book 3 but not terribly far into it. Life is life and I’ve had a hell of a time keeping on track with everything else that’s been going on. However, I’m definitely doing the best that I can and the expectations that we have is that it’ll release this year. Just hopefully I can avoid the mess that was my second release.
The series hasn’t seen the growth that we’d have like to with a sequel releasing, but that’s part of the journey of releasing. Even if the stars are perfectly aligned, which they certainly weren’t for me, things can still not go ideally.
But with that all being said, if y’all happen to see a post somewhere, whether on Facebook or Reddit, asking for litRPG or Prog fantasy recommendations, it’d help me a lot for you to throw my series into the mix. This genre lives or dies by word of mouth, so every recommendation really does go far. Or if you see a post from me, giving it a like/upvote and a comment will do the same. The sucky part about self or small print publishing is that the algorithm is king.
Either way, thank you so much for reading my books and staying up to date, it means the world to me that people care about a silly guy named Benny trying his best. Well, let’s be honest with ourselves, Meat’s the true star of the show.
Some more fun news for book 3 is that we’ve started the process of getting the cover together, and it’s going to be an awesome one. My artist, Joel Chaim Holtzman, is a seriously rad dude and it’s always a blast to get to work with him, and the Art Director at Portal.
The last piece of news I have is that while we are a long way off from seeing anything about it, I’ve slowly started to work on another series. It’s my, if I keep bashing my head against the wall cause words aren’t happening for Crimson Hydra something is going to break, series. It keeps me writing, which is the important part. My main priority is Crimson, especially cause, y’know, I’m contractually obligated, but it’s helped keep the gears turning.
But yeah, that’s all for this month’s update, and I want to again express my gratitude for each and every one of you. If it wasn’t for you, I’d probably be locked up somewhere because I wouldn’t have a healthy place to rant about flesh golems and salamander wizards.
